Hello and Happy Tuesday - I hope you all had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!
I was thinking about all of you as I played with baby chickens on my family's farm (even though you are all my baby ducks). I miss you all very much!
This week's Workout logs are posted for you. These will be the last Workout Logs posted this year. After you complete them please use the last three days of the school year to complete any work that you did not get to - including the Nutrition Quizzes. You will receive full credit for all the work you complete through the end of the year. Enjoy -

Hello and Happy Sunday my baby ducks!
I hope you are enjoying your time at home with family. I miss you all very much. This weeks Workout Logs were just posted for you. There is also another Nutrition Quiz that I posted - I know you are going to do great. I strongly suggest that you fill out the study guide located under the "Resources" tab before taking the quiz (that will help to boost your score). Enjoy -

Hello and Happy Sunday! I hope you are doing well - I miss you all very much. I just posted this week's Workout Logs on our Google Classroom site.
Reminder so you can boost your score: if you are not scoring a 16/16 there are a couple of areas you may want to look at:
1. You did not complete a Cardio or Stretching routine
2. You did not complete at least 1 of each of the Functional Movements (Squats, Sit-ups, Push-ups, and/or Burpees)
3. When providing evidence, you selected an answer-option that did not include a "sense" word
I have already seen that this feedback has helped a lot of you, which rocks!
Please check the due date on Google Classroom for your upcoming Nutrition quiz, and read the directions carefully (they tell you where to locate the answers and let you know that you can use a Study Guide if you want). Enjoy -

Hello and Happy Monday! I hope you are doing well - I miss you all very much. I just posted this week's Workout Logs on our Google Classroom site. Just a bit of feedback regarding the online Workout Logs. If you are not scoring a 16/16 there are a couple of areas you may want to look at:
1. You did not complete a Cardio or Stretching routine
2. You did not complete at least 1 of each of the Functional Movements (Squats, Sit-ups, Push-ups, and/or Burpees)
3. When providing evidence, you selected an answer-option that did not include a "sense" word
I hope this feedback helps! I also uploaded a Nutrition Quiz. Please check the due date on the quiz. Enjoy -

I posted another Workout Log #2 because some students were having a hard time filling out the original. If you were able to fill out the original Workout Log #2, can you please go back and fill in the new Workout Log #2. I apologize for any inconvenience but I wanted to make sure that all students had access. Thank you so much - and I miss all of my baby ducks!

Hello and Happy Monday! I am just sending out this email to remind you of the new assignment I posted. It is the same as last week, but I sent out a new format. It is a multiple-choice fill in form that allows you to pick the best answer that matches your response. I think this will be very helpful. THERE ARE TWO ASSIGNMENTS POSTED FOR THIS WEEK BECAUSE YOU HAVE TO SUBMIT TWO LOGS PER WEEK. Each Log is worth 16 points. If you divide your score/points by 2, then you will know what you have on an 8 point I.B scale. Again, if you prefer filling out the table format from last week (pictured above) that is no problem. Simply email it to me at [email protected].
Enjoy -

Hello and Happy Sunday! I just finished grading your 1st Assignment. I was very impressed with the large number of students that turned in their work and I think the number will grow even more next week. In grading your work I noticed that a lot of things were done well and there were some things that could be improved upon. To provide you with a bit more guidance I created another format for filling out your Workout Logs. You will see it in your Google Classroom (Note: it is not a quiz - it's just a digital version of the Workout Log). There are two Workout Logs for this week (#1 and #2). You must fill out both because you need to submit 2 Logs per week. I think this will aid most of you in addressing the pointers listed below (4/13/120). However, if you prefer to fill out the log (pictured above and located in the "Resources" section) you can still do that. Just email it to me at [email protected].

Hello and Happy Wednesday!
I noticed that some student logs are awesome, but could use a bit of polishing. A couple of notes:
- Remember to read through the entire Differentiated Physical Education Curriculum so that you can see all the modifications listed for each Functional Movement. These are the modifications you will use to fill in your Workout Logs under the "Solution" column.
- Remember to read the Workout Recommendations page (pictured at the very top of this page) located in the Differentiated Physical Education Curriculum. This is where you will find the suggested cardio and stretching routines (the links are blue).
- Remember to view the example Workout Log (pictured at the very top of this page). It is filled in and gives you insight on how to fill in yours. Note: a green checkmark indicates that you completed the cardio and stretching routines for the day. You can also just type/write "Yes" if that's easier.
- Remember when citing evidence that your solution worked in the last column of the Workout Log to use a "sense word" (felt, smelt, saw, heard, or tasted).

Hello and Happy Saturday!
I just posted your first assignment on this site as well as the Google Classroom site that you used to get here (the one attached to Aeries). The reason I posted the assignment in both places is because you will use the Google Classroom site linked to Aeries to turn in your assignments. Please look under the "Assignments" tab on this site to view your directions and due date. Enjoy!

Hello and Welcome Back!
I made you a video over Spring Break to let you know that I was thinking about each and every one of you (it is located under the "Resources" tab). For our first week back I just want you to relax into the shift to online learning. Simply go through the resources that I posted. They are under the "Resources" tab and are labeled Vista Virtual School. Many of you may have already seen them and may have been actively engaged with the curriculum (labeled differentiated physical education platform). You may have also been filling out your Workout Logs. If so - awesome, if not - don't worry! Again, just take this week to become familiar with the resources and if you have any questions, please email me. I will start posting activities to turn in next week. If you have any questions regarding what assignments should be turned in - just look under the "Assignments" tab as usual. I will post directions on how to submit your work soon. Enjoy -

Hello and Happy Tuesday! I just uploaded another Resource for you to enjoy at home. Enjoy your break with family and friends!

Hello and Happy Monday!
I am so happy to be re-connecting with all of you - I missed my ducks! I want to assure you that we will be continuing our education as normally as possible given school closures. Yep - we are still going to work and learn. We officially start back to school on April 6th (according to the dates provided by the District), but I wanted to upload some resources for you to participate in so you can stay active while at home. You will be familiar with the resources and I expect that you will do wonderfully. The exercises provided can be done by you as well as any family members that would like to participate. In fact - you can teach them. The best way to learn is to teach. Included in the resources I just uploaded are some learning logs. Please feel free to print them out and past them into your P.E notebook. You can also draw them in your P.E notebook if you would like. Work will not be officially assigned until April 6th, but this will allow you to get a head start and stay healthy. I will continue to post resources and provide you with additional information regarding assigned work, due dates, and how to submit your work. Until then - Enjoy!

All grades that are highlighted on the I.B TRACKERS are from semester one, and do not calculate into the second semester grades. All grades that are not highlighted apply to the current semester. I also let any students that were missing tests know what tests they were missing (so that they could contact the appropriate teacher and take the test). Hello and Happy Monday! I am so proud of the work you all did in our Line Dance Unit. This month we will be working on a History of Line Dance Essay instead of our normal Written Reflection. Today I will give you the handout, but should it get lost for any reason, you can easily locate the questions and article on this website under the "Resources" tab. We will also make sure that all I.B Trackers are up to date, as you should now have grades for Criterion A, B, and C (as well as 2 Written Reflections). The Line Dance Article will count towards your Criterion D grade.

Congratulations! The fact that you are reading this means you've successfully figured out how to log on to our website. Remember to check the Due Date of your first Writing Reflection under the "Resources" tab. Do not pay attention to other assignments listed, as they are for later in the year (i.e don't worry about it if it doesn't have a due date).
